Liberty Fourth of July Committee seeks Logo

Area artists young and old are invited to design a patriotic logo for the City of Liberty's 4th of July celebration-Liberty's Salute to Freedom.

The July 4, 2010, event will feature a greatly expanded celebration of freedom, complete with a parade of military and patriotic units and the reading of the Declaration of Independence on Liberty Square.

Two art contests are planned. The first, a logo contest, is for adults and teenagers 14 and up. Entries must be in a digital format. The winning design may be used on t-shirts, banners, literature and advertising.

In addition, a poster contest for youth, ages 5-14, is also planned. Poster entries may be displayed at the Liberty City Hall, on the City's cable channel, at area businesses and during the Salute to Freedom celebration.
